Meetcampagne luchtverontreiniging

In Utrecht meet Milieudefensie de luchtkwaliteit met een ultrafijnstofmeter. Het is de aftrap van een meetcampagne, waarbij op 58 punten in Nederland de luchtkwaliteit wordt gemeten door bewoners. Na een jaar wordt bekeken of de Europese norm voor stikstofdioxide, waar Nederland sinds 1 januari 2015 moet voldoen, overschreden wordt. De verwachting is dat op drukke punten, zoals hier op de Amsterdamsestraatweg in Utrecht, de norm niet gehaald wordt. Luchtverontreiniging is een belangrijke doodsoorzaak in Nederland.
